On 24 March 2026, two groups of Friends and guests visited Rowley’s House to view the work needed to restore the building. We were given a very fascinating and informative tour by Peter Gilbertson, the Shropshire Council Project Manager.
It was explained that the build requires extensive work on the structure to allow conversion for future use. It was projected that over £10 Million would be needed to be raised to undertake the work. An application was to be made to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for half of the money, the rest to come from Council sources and fundraising.
